Proanthozone – Oxidation and membrane damage by free radicals occur in the cell pathology of nearly all liver diseases. Proanthozone is a potent antioxidant formulation that provides liver function support and protection from oxidation. The main component is grape seed proanthocyanidin extract (GSPE), which is very stable and is optimally dosed at 1mg/lb/day. GSPE has been shown to protect the liver from oxidative damage, lipid peroxidation, DNA fragmentation, and acetaminophen-induced cell death. While Proanthozone was developed around the GSPE, it also contains glutathione, cysteine, selenium, superoxide dismutase, zinc, manganese, and vitamins A and E. This ingredient combination provides multi-antioxidant components and many benefits for maintaining liver health.
