Otiderm Ear Cleansing Solution is specifically formulated to deodorize and gently clean, dry and acidify the ear canal. This provides an ideal environment for healthy ears.
Directions: Apply liberally into the ear canal. Massage the base of the ear. Allow pet to shake head. Clean excess with a cotton ball. In excessively dirty ears: apply 2-3 times daily over several days. For maintenance of healthy ears: 1-2 times weekly or as often as recommended by your veterinarian. Always apply after swimming.
Too much artificial fragrance by Sue from Berkeley, CA05/07/2010
Hi, I cannot recommend this product because it contains too much synthetic fragrance. What is too much? Well, if your dog's ears still smell strongly of the product after several weeks, then it is too much! The manufacturer adds the fragrance to mask the smell of yeast and microbs thereby covering up the problems in the ears and fooling the owner into thinking the problem is solved. Pass this up and get Alocetic or Oti-clear instead.

sweet smell! by Teresa01/15/2008
I warmed up the bottle for 5 seconds in the microwave before putting in a few drops in my dogs ears. The breeder told me since dogs have high body temperature, they don't like having cold solution in their ears. I love the sweet smell!

Good product by Sammygirl615 from North Carolina12/26/2011
I use this product on a golden retriever who goes swimming in a creek. It works to clean his ears without drying them out too much. I think it is a very good product.

fragrant by sue from Berkeley, CA05/19/2010
Actually, too fragrant to use on a dog. By too fragrant, I mean that the fragrance lasts for weeks. This much artificial fragrance could be very irritating to the delicate skin inside a dog's ear canal. In fact, it is believed that chronic ear canal irritation due to food allergen dermititis, contact allergen, dermititis, etc. sets the stage for frequent ear infections (this is the connection between frequent ear infections and food allergies-- the skin reaction inside the ears). Therefore, it would be best to choose an ear cleansing product that has the least amount of potentially irritating (and unnecessary) additives, right?
