Dosing
- Inject 2 mg per lb of Adequan Canine intramuscularly twice a week for up to 4 weeks for dogs
- Inject 500 mg of Adequan Equine intramuscularly every 4 days for a 28-day period for horses
- For Adequan Equine Intra-Articular, administer 250 mg (1 phial) intra-articularly to horse once per week for five weeks

Administration
- Do not administer to breeding, pregnant, or lactating animals- caution is advised for use in animals with liver or kidney disease, or coagulation and blood clotting disorders
- Thoroughly cleanse injection site prior to administration
- Do not mix Adequan with other drugs or solvents
- Consult your veterinarian or your pet's prescription for further information

Side Effects
- If allergic reaction (hives, scratching, facial swelling, vomiting, sudden onset of diarrhea, shock, seizures, cold limbs, pale gums, or coma) occur- stop administering Adequan immediately and seek emergency veterinary medical attention
- If nose bleeds, bloody feces, or dark stool occur- contact your veterinarian
- Consult veterinarian if other side effects occur
