	Boone is a two year old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador mix from Lubbock, Texas. He was rescued at a few weeks old from a dumpster in Amarillo, TX and I agreed to foster him at three months old. After several attempts at placing him, I realized my fostering was a "failure" and I would adopt him into our family with another Rhodesian Ridgeback boy. Boone survived parvo as a young pup and recently had surgery to remove a dermoid sinus from his back, but despite it all, he is the happiest, healthiest, most affectionate, best dog anyone could ever want, and I feel particularly lucky to have him. His daily trips to the park to look for jack rabbits and squirrels bring him particular joy, as does curling up into a little ball in front of the fire, using his paw as a pillow. He is a wonderful travel companion, having logged many miles and states by car. In fact, "let's go" may be his two favorite words. He makes me laugh every single day and we love him so much.
