Description

BOVI-SHIELD GOLD 5 is a modified-live virus used for the vaccination of healthy cattle to help prevent disease caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) Types 1a, 1b, and 2 viruses, parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus, and bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV).
  • Broad Respiratory Protection: Guards against IBR, BVD Types 1 & 2, PI3, and BRSV in healthy cattle.
  • Modified Live Virus Formula: Promotes a strong and long-lasting immune response.
  • Safe for Breeding Cattle: Can be used in pregnant cows and nursing calves when previously vaccinated as directed.
  • Flexible Administration: Suitable for both subcutaneous and intramuscular injection routes.
  • Long Duration of Immunity: Provides protection for at least 9 months against certain viruses.

Ingredients

  • Modified Live Viruses:
    • Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus
    • Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD) Virus Type 1
    • Bovine Viral Diarrhea (BVD) Virus Type 2
    • Parainfluenza3 (PI3) virus
    • Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Virus (BRSV)
  • Sterile Diluent: Provided for proper reconstitution of the vaccine before administration.

Useful Information

Directions for Use

  • Administer orally using a drenching gun or oral dosing syringe.
  • For adult dairy cattle: Give one full dose at the onset of freshening or as directed by a veterinarian.
  • A second dose may be administered 12 to 24 hours later if needed to help maintain calcium levels.
  • Ensure the animal is able to swallow before administering to avoid aspiration.
  • Always follow your veterinarian’s recommendations for calcium supplementation.

  • Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight and do not freeze.
  • Keep container tightly closed when not in use.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals when not in use.
