All four cats love them and they have pretty good teeth
May 19, 2022
The cats catch them
In the air or pluck them from my fingers and crunch away. Easier than brushing their teeth.
Pros
  • Per my vet they help oral health.
Cons
  • Expensive

My cat actually likes these. I had some doubts after reading other reviews but he likes them. They are different than the old CET chews which seemed to need more chewing but hopefully these will clean his teeth too.

Merchant Response:Thanks Deb! Glad he likes them.
Pros
  • He likes them! Smaller size is probably easier as I used to cut the old ones in half. Better price too!
Cons
  • None.

Freshen the breath
March 25, 2021
Our cat’s breath was so bad it caused our toes to curl and arms to immediately cover our noses. It was bad! The bites were recommended by our vet. Although it took a while for these to work, we don’t even notice her breath anymore, even when she yawns or gives is little licks.
Pros
  • -They work
  • -Cat loves them

C.E.T Intellident Cat Bites
January 12, 2021
I'm not happy virbac discontinue the C.e.t. Oral Hygiene Chews, they worked very well for my cats teeth and gums. the new ones don't work, and they don't have the dual-enzyme like the C.E.T ones had. one of my cats have health issues and i cant find a new dental teat that will be ok for her to have.
Pros
  • My cat likes them
Cons
  • They don't work very well

Most Important--My cat will eat them
January 12, 2021
My cat didn't need to be anesthetized for dental care for ten years, due to daily use of Virbac CET enzymatic cat chews, but they were discontinued and six months later, my senior cat had plaque buildup again. These treats are supposed to prevent plaque and gum issues. Whether they do so as effectively as original CET dental chews remains to be seen (My cat has only been eating them for two weeks) but the important thing at this point is that my cat will eat them. They are very hard so he really has to work to chew them, but they must taste good because he's willing to put in the work. Their rough texture is likely to strip plaque buildup off cats' teeth.
Pros
  • The flavor must be appealing because my cat will eat them even though they are very hard.
Cons
  • Because they are so hard, cats who have dental issues that cause them to be unable to eat very hard chews probably wouldn't be able to manage these.

I Want the Old Chews Back Now!
January 2, 2021
Have been waiting hopelessly for the old cylinder shaped, styrofoamy textured, fish flavored chews. My old cat loved them. These new ones are not anything special, already give him greenies and similar. The old chews were unique.

New, but not improved nor even as good.
December 16, 2020
A major disappointment. These are tiny bags and the "bits" are small as well. I am one of those who was jerked around by Virbac and not given accurate nor complete information when I phoned.
These are similar to Greenies, but cost more. My cat takes a few chews and they are quickly gone. They don't provide the lengthy, chewing experience of the original chews, so it can't be
helping my cat as much a the original chews. Very sad.
Pros
  • They do provide some" chewing."
Cons
  • They are small and don't provide the longer chewing of their original chews.
  • A couple of chews and then swallowed.

Not the same
November 20, 2020
Oh, so sad. The replacement for the former CET cat chews. Not even remotely similar. This is a hard, crunchy treat rather than the sort of styrofoam-y treat that CET Chews were before. And Miss Minnow just hates them. I try to mix them in with other treats to fool her into eating them and she fishes them out and leaves them. They are such a dud.
Pros
  • None that I can see
Cons
  • Nothing like the ones they were designed to replace, and as far as I can tell they aren?t even tasty.

Very happy
November 13, 2020
The former dental favorite has been discontinued, so I tried this replacement. My targeted cat LOVES them and chews them appropriately. Her brother enjoys them too, but takes a few chews and swallows. I will definitely buy these again!

new formula
November 9, 2020
Like the other customer, I went on a wild goose chase looking for the previous formulation, since my cat actually loved them and her tooth issue improved after using them. Was happy to buy these after not having the old chews for months on end. But unfortunately my cat doesn't like these new ones. She smells, it looks at it and walks away. So frustrating. Don't know why virbac would change a formula for something that so many customers loved.

Virbac Intellident cat chews
November 3, 2020
Our cat likes the new chews and there seems to be more friction when she bites into them than the former cylinder shaped chews. Hopefully, the plaque on her teeth will diminish using them.

these are useless and not comparable to discontinued CET dental chews
October 31, 2020
I have been led on a goose chase by Virbac the makers of these products. The original tube shape enzyme chews had more effect on dental disease . I was told by Virbac that the original was being reformulated and would be available September. Next call October. Third call I was told they were available but only through your Vet. My Vet ordered them and was told they were back ordered. Yesterday I looked on the Virbac website and they only showed CET Intellident bites. They are the same as Greenies. I called customer service and their rep has no answer as to why they now offer this useless product. The rep confirmed these magic chunks worked based on chewing action only just like Greenies . Nothing special.

Merchant Response:Hi Patty, We hope that Virbac is able to bring back the CET Chews for cats soon too. We haven't been given an official timline either. Take care
Pros
  • none
Cons
  • useless to order as work on the same premise as Greenies
