Description
Crananidin Urinary Tract Support is a scientifically formulated cranberry extract product. It's given to help support urinary tract health in dogs. Crananidin's cranberry extract contains compounds called "proanthocyanidins" or "PACs". These PACs work to help stop certain bacteria from "sticking" or attaching to the inner lining of the bladder wall allowing the bacteria to be flushed out in the urine.
Crananidin has been researched, and its PACs have been shown to limit the attachment of the bacteria. The same cannot be said for other cranberry supplements marketed for urinary tract health in dogs. These other supplements were found to contain some PACs, however, their PACs were not able to stop the bacteria from sticking.

Great Product

Our dog needs to be on Cranadin for life. She is much healthier now because of this great product. I am so glad there is an automatic shipment program. I have to have this one put on it, when I do my next order.
Pros
- My dog has to have the pill cut into 4 pieces, she is a very small dog. The pill is easy to cut to accommodate the dosage she needs. I am pleased with this product and she likes it. That is the most important thing, "she likes it".

My dog had frequent uti’s & had to be on antibiotics ,since she’s been on this for about 6 months thankfully it seems to be working

Crananidin Works!

My Chihuahua Yorkie got her first URI at 5 months old. The vet put her on antibiotics and it cleared up. Six weeks later, she had another one and we repeated the antibiotics. She got 2 more within a year. The last time the vet recommended Crananidin and it worked. The vet wanted me to Continue the Crananidin as well as putting her on a very expensive prescription canned food for urinary tract health. For a year I gave her affordable non prescription “wet†dog food while continuing the Crananidin and there were no more UTI’s. I weaned her back on to her dry dog food, continuing the 1/4 tablet daily and she has been fine. She is now 6 1/2 years old. She still considers her Crananidin as her morning treat.

These supplements really help my dog. She used to have frequent urinary tract infections. I have given her Cranandin for a year and a half and have not had any more uti problems.

We started using this for our Golden due to her health issues. While she was taking Caranidin she did not have any bladder issues for infection.
She became very ill with a heart issue and trying to keep the cost down we tried something different.
That was a HUGE mistake!
She started having urinary infections.
We put her back on the Crananidin after the 2nd infection she had with in 3 months.
She has not had an infection since and we will not take her off it again.

We have a rescued dog who gets recurring UTI's. The vet recommended this product as well as Cosequin which apparently has been shown to be effective along with Crananidin, besides its normal usage on joint problems. Since we've been using both products on our miniature poodle type dog she hasn't had any more UTI's. I wrap the pills in a little Braunschweiger so she'll swallow them readily.

Good supplement for preventing UTIs

My vet recommended Crananidin for my older cocker spaniel (16) who is prone to UTIs, mostly as a side effect of his Cushings disease. He loves the daily morning treat. He's been taking it for a few years, and it seems to have prevented additional UTI occurrences.

In my specific case, this product did not work as expected, recurring E coli UTI is again here. However, due to some clinical reports and recommendations, cranberry extract may prevent UTI caused by UPEC (Uropathogen E coli). And Crananidin is among very few products available that has standardized amount of proanthocyanidin, an active substance which might prevent E coli to attach on bladder wall. For this reason, I would recommend to try it, but do not expect miracles; it may work, but it may also not work. The reason: different E coli species have different mechanisms for attachment, proanthocyanidin blocks only one of them.

This product has really helped stop all the e-coli UTI's that my girl had been experiencing. Since she has been on this product she has not had another E-Coli UTI.

My pup has suffered UTI's since she was a baby - gone through various rounds of antibotics and the last bout my Vet gave me some Crananidin since he felt it was the best product on the market. I give her two tablets a day and haven't had any pbolems with UTI so far but have only been doing so for 60 days.
