Description

Petcurean Gather Wild Ocean Line-Caught Cod Dry Dog Food. They kicked the dirt in their fields, inspected their farms, and stood on their boats to make sure your canine companion gets only the best possible nutrition available. To make this food, they gathered sustainably-fished, line-caught Alaskan cod, and combined that with non-GMO vegetables like peas, lentils, chickpeas, kale and carrots. The result is a complete and balanced dog food that's highly nutritious, highly palatable, and completely free of any antibiotics, added growth hormones, by-products, or artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

Key Benefits:

  • Sustainably-fished, line-caught Alaskan cod is the very first ingredient, and the single source of meat protein, in this highly palatable premium-quality food.
  • Non-GMO vegetables including peas, lentils, chickpeas, kale and carrots deliver additional nutrition, antioxidants and flavor.
  • Sustainably harvested krill provides EPA and DHA fatty acids to supports healthy heart and brain function as well as healthy skin and coat.
  • Fortified with essential vitamins and minerals to provide complete and balanced nutrition for adult dogs.
  • Completely free of any antibiotics, added growth hormones, by-products, gluten, corn, wheat, soy or artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

Useful Information

The transition period should be at minimum, ten days and could take upwards of two weeks, depending on your pet's sensitivity to change. On day one, introduce 10% new food and 90% old food. Keep the food at this ratio for two or more days. Next, increase the ratio to 20% new food and 80% old food for two or more days. Repeat increasing in increments of 10% until you're feeding 100% of the new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process to let his or her digestive tract adjust to the new food. Some vomiting and/or diarrhea can be normal when introducing new foods as the digestive process and the naturally occurring bacteria your pet's body requires is a complex and delicate system. If you experience any vomiting and/or diarrhea, be sure to reduce the amount of new food the next time you feed and overall, slow the whole transition period down even more.
