Pet of the Week
Phinn

Breed  Maltese
Location  Atascadero, California
Human  Yvonne H.
Story  Two years ago, a little white dog was wondering the streets at night, lost and scared. It just so happened that one human in particular saw Phinn, and knew she had to do something. Yvonne immediately stopped and called to the little white dog, who didn't come, but was happily picked up from where he was standing.

The next day Yvonne took him to the vet to see if he was micro-chipped, with hoped of reuniting him with his human. Yvonne drove all over town looking for his family but no one knew where he had come from.

Yvonne decided to write a post for Craigslist, hoping the owner was looking for him. A woman responded to the email, but explained that she didn't want the poor pooch back. Luckily, Yvonne had already grown fond of the Maltese, and was happy to give him a new home. Phinn was a very lucky dog.

Yvonne explains that Phinn has the most lively, funny personality. He makes her laugh every day. He is also an excellent therapy dog, helping his new found human cope with anxiety. Phinn and Yvonne make new friends all the time because he loves all humans, as well as other dogs. She can't imagine a day without him.
