  • Conditions

    • For the prevention and treatment of flea infestations
    • Only for use in dogs and puppies 4 weeks of age or older
    • For the elimination and prevention of roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms
    • For the prevention of heartworm

  • Dosing

    • Dosing varies by weight with five dosages for dogs 2-10 lbs, 11-25 lbs, 26-50 lbs, 51-100 lbs, and 100+ lbs
    • For dogs weighing over 100 lbs, combine different chews to meet appropriate dosage
    • Usual dosage for dogs of milbemycin oxime/luferon is as follows per month (year-round): o 2 to 10 pounds is 2.3mg/46mg o 11 to 25 pounds is 5.75mg/115mg o 26 to 50 pounds is 11.5mg/230mg o 51 to 100 pounds is 23mg/460mg o 100+ varies depending on weight

  • Administration

    • Administer chew orally once per month at the minimum dosage
    • If your pet is off Sentinel for 6 months or less, re-start the medication and test after 6 months since microfilaria, that take 6 months to mature, will result in a positive test result
    • Store Sentinel at room temperature
    • Do not remove the tablet from its wrapper until ready to give the medicine
    • Consult your veterinarian for pregnant or lactating dogs

  • Side Effects

    • Side effects are rare though some pets experience the following: Depression, drowsiness, vomiting, itching, hives, loss of appetite, diarrhea, hypersalivation, seizures, and weakness
    • If these or other symptoms develop contact your veterinarian
    • To prevent re-infection, clean up stools on a daily basis
