Description

GlycoFlex 1 supports the structure and function of joints and connective tissue for puppies and dogs throughout their lives. Stage 1 contains perna canaliculus, glucosamine HC1, and DMG (dimethylglycine) to help support the rebuilding of collagen, cartilage, and joint structures. This formula provides reinforcement for puppies, or dogs predisposed to hip or joint dysfunction, for the maintenance of optimal joint health. GlycoFlex 1 - Reinforce

For use in dogs only.

  • Chicken liver flavored chewable tablets for easy administration
  • DMG is used to support proper immune response, cardiovascular and skin health. It can also help reduce stress and has anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Available in a 90 and 120 count bottle.

Ingredients

Active Ingredient Per 2 Chews:
Perna canaliculus (GlycOmega™ brand Green-Lipped Mussel) 600 mg
Glucosamine HCl (Shrimp and Crab) 500 mg
N,N-Dimethylglycine HCl (DMG) 100 mg

Inactive Ingredients: arabic gum, brewers yeast, calcium sulfate, canola oil, chicken liver flavor, citric acid, citrus pectin, glycerin, maltodextrin, mixed tocopherols, oat flour, propionic acid, rosemary extract, rye flour, silicon dioxide, sodium alginate, sorbic acid, soy lecithin, vegetable oil, water.

Useful Information

Initial: (4 - 6 Weeks)
Up to 30 lbs: 1 chew daily
31 - 60 lbs: 2 chews daily
61 - 100 lbs: 4 chews daily
101 lbs and over: 5 chews daily
Maintenance: (After initial period)
Up to 30 lbs: 1 chew every other day
31 - 60 lbs: 1 chew daily
61 - 100 lbs: 2 chews daily
101 lbs and over: 3 chews daily

If giving more than 1 chew daily, divide between AM and PM.

CAUTION: Safe use in pregnant animals or animals intended for breeding has not been proven. If lameness worsens, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian. Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset.

WARNING: For animal use only. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.

Store in a cool, dry place.

This site was the cheapest for the Glyco Flex. My 11 year old Great Pyrenees loves them. I highly recommend the soft chews for a dog that has smaller teeth due to age. The tablets are better in regard to the ingredients but my dog won't eat tablets. These soft chews are a fantastic alternative!

We have four bulldogs in our family and started them on Glyco Flex right from the start. I believe this is very helpful in keeping our dogs joints in good shape. Bulldogs are not the most well built dogs and can have hip and knee problems so I feel this product is a MUST HAVE for our boys! My vet recommended these to me three years ago when I noticed my adopted dog had cresks in her legs when she stood up. Her left leg goes pop from the hip a bit, but it is very slight. I've given her these just about every day for the past three years without incident. I no longer hear regular creeks and I attribute the maintenance to Glycoflex. My vet said that this was the only glucosamine product (except maybe Cosequin) that tests show has the actual amounts of the active ingredient in it. I give the Joint Treats to my puppy for support, but I don't think he needs them. I won't be switching to Joint Treats.

REALLY helped our 10-lb. Chihuahua

Lucy, our young Chihuahua, was scheduled to have a $3,000 surgery for Patella Luxation, a condition where her rear kneecaps would repeatedly get dislocated, but then correct themselves. A vet we normally didn't see had recommended the surgery. On the day Lucy was to have surgery, our regular vet was back. He took a look at her and determined that she was about 2 pounds overweight. He advised us to start giving her Glucosamine for her joints and put her on a diet to lose the extra weight. He decided to postpone surgery until we saw what happened. She lost the weight, and with the help of Glyco Flex soft chews, has NOT had the knee problem since! (This was 2 years ago.) She LOVES the taste. Thinks they're treats. We give her one each morning. :)
