Sebacous Cyst Removal
April 13, 2017
My beagle had a sebaceous cyst removed from her tail. Unfortunately a large amount of skin had to be removed during the surgery. I noticed that my vet applied this gel during the post opt visit. I ordered the gel on line myself and I am now changing the dressing at home. The tail is healing very nicely with the Biozide Gel.

Outstanding Multi Use Product
October 26, 2016
I have used this product for years. It is anti-bacterial and also anti-fungal. It is one of the most effective wound treatments I have ever used but beyond that it can really help with fungal issues and hoof issues.
It has the same active ingredient as a Thrush treatment but it is a jelly rather than a liquid so it get into the frog and stays better. Also, it helps with hoof wall cracks.
This is an excellent and reasonable priced product. I always keep several jars of it in my equine medicine cabinet.

Review for Biozide Gel Wound Dressing (20 oz)
October 27, 2015
When I started using this stuff years ago you could only get it from a vet. I am so glad to be able to purchase it on line and at such a reasonable price ! This product is absolutely amazing at healing all types of wounds. I even used it on a cat with a huge wound on her side. She licked it everyday, wound and medicine. She never got sick and the wound healed beautifully.

Biozide Gel Works!!
October 12, 2015
One summer my QH gelding had a fly bite on his belly and the only way he could relieve the itch was to lie down with this hind legs tucked under and his front legs stretched out in front and then swing his belly from side to side on the ground. No matter what I tried, he would not stop. In a matter of days he had rubbed himself raw from stem to stern. It looked like a severe case of road rash and I was really concerned about infection. My vet gave me a jar of Biozide Gel and some latex gloves. (Gloves are a necessity as the iodine will stain your skin).. Within a week my horse had almost completely healed and within a couple of weeks all his hair was growing back. Since then I have been using the Biozide Gel for all the various cuts, scrapes & abrasions, and my barn's first aid supply cabinet will never be without it.

I have a horse that is allergic to the heat here in Arizona...he breaks out in hives when it is 90 degrees or higher, so for 5 months, he gets bumps, rubs them into fist size wounds..this is the only thing that works to keep flies off the wounds and doesn't melt in the heat.

Super Gel

I have used Biozide Gel several times. Not only have I used it on my horses to treat their wounds but I have also used it on my goats. And just recently I used it on my cat. Doesn't stain and not harmful if the animals "lick" at it. Bought a new bottle to keep on hand. Highly recommend keeping this on hand for treating animals wounds.

I have used Biozide Gel for over 15 years on my horses. It is the best wound dressing I have found. Cuts, punctures, gashes, even deep wounds (as long as they're clean) heal quickly and usually without scarring. I highly recommend Biozide Gel for equine wound care. I have not tried it on my dogs or cats.

Biozide is the best!
September 9, 2013
For years I have used Biozide Gel on horses for every cut, scrape, whatever. It helps the hair to grow back in the normal color. I experimented once(now sorry I did that!) when my pony took a chunk out of a new mini I got..I did NOT put Biozide on and now my coal black mini has a small white patch on her back!

I am looking for something that would be good to safely use on a goat udder for scratches and punctures. I have used Red Jel, but that appears to be a discontinued item. Can you please tell me if Biozide Gel is safe to use in this manner?

Hello, I called Performance Products, the maker of this gel and they were kind enough to affirm that the gel should be safe to apply to a goat's udders for scratches and punctures. I hope this information helps!
