" Reign is my very picky German shepherd 1 yr old. This has always been since the beginning. I would make him meal based on my personal research and he will pick through it like he was conducting his personal research. But now I add this treat to his nature blend essential wellness meal with some chicken, beef liver, spinach, ginger and apples with salmon oil. He devours it and he licks his plate all the time. Our 11 year old Corgi loved the freeze dried food, it took no time at all to wolf it down. Along comes the new “Treats” and he would rather eat those all day instead. We’ll have to be careful with the amount he gets, I’m not taking him to the dentist. The new treats mix well with his regular Dr Marty’s freeze dried kibble. I’ve got to order more of that too, he heats better than I do.

I give the treat in the morning after he has had his breakfast which I use Natures Blend as a topper. His breakfast consists of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, & Natures Blend. You need a stopwatch to watch him eat. You blink your eyes and it's gone. He's excited to get his treat, so excited he tries to bite the bag out of my hand. Again, you need a stopwatch in how fast he takes Joey's Favorite.

Our dog Willow knows the sound of my taking the food out of the pantry and turning on the electric kettle. From that moment on she waits (not o patiently) for me to scratch her head and put the food in front of her with a gentle "enjoy Willow". Several seconds later it is gone. Our dog still likes these as occasional treats and looks forward to them. I still don’t know what happened with the food. I was giving it along side in his dish with his normal food about half and half. He worked hard to single out yours and left his own aside eating a few at the end sometimes. After the first bag! He reversed completely and sought out his regular and barely ate any of Dr. Marty’s.

My dogs thinks they are excellent. I think they are smelly. I guess the dogs opinion are most important. If I put a tablespoon on their food they lap it up so I do that so I want have to handle it. They also love the liver treats. I am supposed to get a package of free treats each month. Would like to have both fish and liver. One one month and one the next or how ever it works best for you.
