- Fit Halti with label and seams to outside. Fasten buckle behind the neck.
- The noseband should rest midway between the eyes and the nose and not restrict panting.
- Adjust neck strap to allow the Halti to fit comfortably.
- Allow the dog one to five minutes to get used to the Halti. Encourage play to distract from struggling and chewing.
- Fit the lead to lower Halti ring.
- Continue play until acceptance.

Second one to fail
November 5, 2013
This is the second Halti collar to fail. Both broke where the leash attaches to the metal ring. The strap needs reinforcing in this area.
Same dog (Mini-Aussi). She pulls even more without the Halti, so it provided a degree of control, but it broke this morning. Almost lost her to traffic, so I'll be using a metal choke collar from now on.

Got the Right Size
July 26, 2012
Have a Saluki/Collie mix. Chart said Size 2 but was too big aroung the head. Size 1 works good but a little small around the face. There needs to be another place to adjust so that it fits all sizes and shapes of heads.
