Description

K-Plus Potassium Citrate Plus Cranberry Granules is a dietary supplement designed specifically for dogs and cats. It combines the benefits of potassium citrate and cranberry extract to support urinary tract health in pets.

K-Plus Potassium Citrate Plus Cranberry Granules are formulated as a convenient and palatable way to provide important nutrients to pets. The granules are easy to administer and can be sprinkled on top of your pet's food. This supplement is particularly beneficial for pets prone to urinary tract issues, such as urinary stones or recurrent urinary tract infections.

Key Benefits:

  1. Promotes Urinary Tract Health: The combination of potassium citrate and cranberry extract helps maintain a healthy urinary pH in pets. Potassium citrate helps prevent the formation of certain types of urinary stones, while cranberry extract contains natural compounds that support urinary tract health and help prevent bacterial adherence to the bladder walls.
  2. Reduces the Risk of Urinary Stones: Potassium citrate is known to inhibit the formation of calcium oxalate and struvite stones, which are common types of urinary stones in dogs and cats. By providing a supplemental source of potassium citrate, K-Plus helps reduce the risk of stone formation and supports overall urinary health.
  3. Supports Bladder Health: Cranberry extract has been shown to have beneficial effects on the bladder by reducing the adherence of bacteria to the bladder walls. This helps prevent the colonization of harmful bacteria and supports a healthy bladder environment in pets.
  4. Easy Administration: The granules can be easily mixed with your pet's regular food, making it convenient to incorporate into their daily routine. The palatable formula ensures that your pet will likely accept the supplement without any issues.
  5. Veterinarian Recommended: K-Plus Potassium Citrate Plus Cranberry Granules are often recommended by veterinarians as a proactive approach to urinary tract health in dogs and cats. It is especially beneficial for pets with a history of urinary issues or those at higher risk of developing urinary stones.

It's important to note that while K-Plus Potassium Citrate Plus Cranberry Granules can be a valuable supplement for urinary tract health, it's always best to consult with your veterinarian before introducing any new dietary product or supplement to your pet's routine.

Urinary Tract Infection Remedy

Potassium Citrate helps maintain the normal function of the urinary tract and bladder health. This unique formula was developed to enhance renal function, promote bladder health, and optimize the urinary tract health of pets.

Cranberry Extract

Cranberries help assist in maintaining normal bladder health and control. Cranberry extract has been proven to enhance urinary tract health and help decrease the possibility of calcium oxalate stone formation.

Potassium Citrate

Potassium Citrate helps promote proper urine mineral balance while supporting normal kidney detoxification and healthy waste elimination. Potassium Citrate helps maintain normal urine pH. When pH is regular in urine and less acidic, the kidneys don't form kidney stones.

Decrease Calcium Oxalate Stone Formation

Dogs and cats that have calcium oxalate stones need to be fed a therapeutic diet for life. This supplement contains ingredients known to aid in the prevention of urinary stone formation.

Packaging

I've only used the product a handful of times so I'll have to come back and rate it after using it consistently but the packaging was awesome! The powder is in a sealed bag and the scoop is outside of the powder so no digging for the scoop!! My cats don't notice a difference in the food with it sprinkled in so it is palatable!

PICKY PANTS LIKES IT!!!!
January 1, 2024
I purchased the gel version of this in November. I tried to reorder and it wasn't available so I bought this, hoping my 19yr old cat would agree with my decision. She tried it, she liked it! Gobbled down her food she was previously picking at. She's been having health issues, starting at the end of September and I'm so happy she's getting healthier. Better food and supplements, along with my tender loving care has made it possible for her to still be right here next to me. Cheers to 2024!!

Her dog struggled with expensive, and emotionally wrenching, bladder crystal issues for years before she started incorporating this into her pet's diet. No issues for her companion since, and no issues for either of our two cats since, who've endured multiple prior blockages.Don't know whether or not this is true, but my Poindexter friend tells me that this product is quite similar to what's prescribed to many of her ped patients for similar problems. No idea whether this actually works either but it's WAY cheaper than the $7K in emergency vet hospital bills that we've incurred so far so I'm never going to stop using it. On "Doctor's Orders."Weird side benefit is that finicky Barely - the - Cat seems to like his food a lot more with this added. I don't think it's flavored so I don't really know what that's about. He's a little psycho but it's a real thing.

Good powder but expensive.
February 18, 2023
This brand does seem to help prevent stones, but for the life of me why must these powders be so expensive. This one is more cost effective than the previous brand I have been using, with the same effect. So I am happy and so is my dog.

Great supplement for kidney and bladder issues for male cats
September 12, 2021
Was nice to know my crazy, sometimes sweet but always demanding kitty was getting the supplements he needed to prevent and help manage his bladder stones/urine blockage issues. A piece of mind knowing he's getting everything he needs to help avoid scary situations and my chubby fella getting really sick on me again. Plus it's a lot more affordable than prescription cat food. It's good for dogs kidneys and bladders as well. Happy to say he's not had any problems since we started supplementing this in his wet food. Definitely recommend this for the fur babes.

Long hair male Chihuahua 8.5 years old, body weight today 10.5 lbs. I adopted my sisters dogs when she passed away over 3 years ago. At that time Taco Baby was obese with 12.5 lbs. after knee replacement in 2015. All diets and efforts places him between 9.5 and 10.5 lbs. no matter what I do. He started gaining weight after neuter . He is Brachycephalic and allergic to all vaccines and many household products. He drinks distilled water only. No table food! He is a natural born rebel!. Was on Hills Science diet since a puppy. Last November one day to the next, I noticed red spots in my floor, I knew was from him, bc the other chihuahua (not his brother) was wearing a diaper in order to save my expensive Persian rugs. Took him to the Vet immediately and X-rays showed big stones (Calcium Oxalate) inside his bladder and also some were blocking his Urethra. At that time his ph. was 6 which according to the Vet makes more easy to have that type of stones formed again. He had surgery the same day and remained at the Vet for 3 days, refused to eat trough the ordeal and went down to 9.5 lbs. He was placed on SO urinary diet since the other brand caused him to have painful gas and cholic which are very dangerous, and can kill the dog, due to turned intestine. It was on February when he was placed by the Vet in the K-plus supplement ounce per day 1 scoop. His urine was retested in May. Sadly, the test revealed the presence of crystals Calcium Oxalate. X-Ray and Ultrasound revealed that the crystals were very very small and between the food and the supplement, they are coming out in his urine (visible light powder in the urine). Of course, the presence of the tiny crystals causes inflammation of the bladder. He was placed on antibiotics for 2 weeks and the Vet increased the K-plus to 1scoop and a 1/4 ounce per day. Yesterday, after 2 weeks the urine test came negative: no crystals and the ph. went up to 7, the Vets said that ideal for the purpose of avoiding this specific type of stones is 7.5. He will have another urine test in one month. So, the product works by keeping the crystals like tiny particles, and the food by making him urinate more. All my research found the ounce a dog gets this crystals, very likely, they will keep coming back, but, by using this product, and keeping close medical care, I might avoid another surgery. There is no other preventive treatment for this type of stones, science doesn't know yet why they form.

We have a dog that continously gets UTIs due to medical issues. It was recommended that we get this product and try it out. I honestly can't say if it is helping or not because its too soon BUT she almost does backflips when I open the container and pour some of this over her food. It's like Catnip for Dogs..or at least mine
