Description

Ora-Clens® 1-TDC supports healthy teeth and gums in dogs and cats. Ora-Clens 1-TDC Periodontal contains a modified molecule, 1-tetradecanol complex, that is a clinically proven and veterinarian-recommended way to combat a periodontal disease that boasts improved dental health. It is recommended for natural support of gum tissue and joint health as an anti-inflammatory.

Tetradecanol complex provides a significant improvement in gingival and periodontal health and can be an alternative, safe and non-invasive therapeutic approach in pets suffering from destructive periodontal diseases. 1-TDC has the unique ability to directly and positively support both periodontal and joint health as one economical solution. In a clinical study, the esterified fatty acids of 1-TDC also improved the general disposition and functional ability in dogs suffering from arthritis. These fatty acids offer an alternative to more traditional therapies for treating arthritis in canines.

These flavored fish capsules are easy to apply to pet's teeth and taste great to ensure that your pet will thoroughly enjoy caring for their teeth and joints in the future.

False advertising
I ordered two bottles of Ora-Clens 1-TDC Periodontal supplement on 7/23/2018. Each bottle is supposed to contain 120 soft gel capsules. However, the bottles I received were both short. One contained 119 capsules and the other contained 116 capsules. This is apparently an ongoing manufacturing quality control problem with this product. I notified the manufacturer but they are unresponsive. Don't buy this product unless you would like to be ripped off.

No results yet
I have been giving my 98 lbs rotti 4 a day for almost a month and have not noticed any change. Sigh.

I am not sure about purchasing another bottle.

Fantastic Product For Teeth/Gum Problems
I have a Toy Poodle diagnosed with CUPS--Chronic Ulcerative Paradental Syndrome or a fancy $pecialty Vet'$ name for Stomatitis. She nearly died from it, after being mis-diagnosed by another knucklehead vet. Poor thing has suffered so much. Since I don't like having her teeth cleaned, for one it has gotten too expensive $1400+ and for another, she developed a strange bump on the top of her nose, one time and another time she grew another toe, which I believe is due to her immune deficiencies.
So, I prefer to treat her myself and use this on her teeth daily--I split it with my other 2 dogs & cat. I also use a red LED light on her, whenever she has a flare-up and of course, brush her teeth daily & PlaqueOff sprinkled on her food. This brand is the same as EFAC caps and about 1/2 the price.

I don't know if my dog needs periodontal products. He is 7 years old. How can I determine this?
1 Answer
You can take your dog to a veterinary dentist or simply ask your veterinarian. Periodontal disease is common in cats and dogs, so it's likely that if your dog is seven years old and you haven't provided regular dental care in the form of brushing or 1-tetradecanol that your pet may suffer from some form of the disease. If this is the case, your pet could greatly benefit from 1-tetradecanol, as it's clinically proven to reverse gingivitis and combat the effects of plaque and tartar.
