Description

Proflora™ veterinary-strength probiotic soft chews for dogs help support digestion and overall canine health. For daily use. Proflora helps maintain a healthy probiotic balance in the digestive system. Use Proflora to re-balance the micro-flora population in your dog's GI tract. Contains 6 strains of live (viable) microorganisms and 1 billion CFUs per serving.

    Use Proflora to Support:
  • Healthy Digestion
  • Nutrient Absorption
  • Immune System
  • Normal Bowel Function
  • Skin and Coat Health
Re-balance Beneficial Bacteria

There are many ways the balance of good verses bad bacteria in the GI tract can become imbalanced, diet, stress, medications, and especially antibiotics are just a few of the ways. Having an unbalanced intestinal micro-flora or no micro-flora in the intestine(after antibiotics) can lead to multiple problems; gas, runny stool, constipation, scooting, difficulty digesting, inability to absorb nutrients, stomach cramps, and can even lead to other problems like low immune system and unhealthy skin and coat, even bad breath. Using the 6 strains of live (viable) beneficial bacteria in Proflora on a daily basis helps repopulate the GI tract with beneficial bacteria and assist in digestion. Proflora comes complete with FOS, a non-digestible prebiotic that acts as food for the probiotics.

Soft Chews Your Dog Will Love

Proflora Probotic Soft Chews are a tasty natural chicken flavor that your dog will love eating and they will in turn help support your dog's digestive system health and function. These probiotic supplements are a great way to ensure good health.

Good Product
My senior dog was having tummy issues including loose stools and diarrhea. I decided to try this product for her. She has been taking it daily for a few months and her loose stools have cleared up and tummy issues seem to be mostly resolved. I am attributing this to the ProFlora. Excellent product in my eyes!

Great product - Great value!
My 12-year old mini-poodle LOVES ProFlora probiotic chews! She expects one EVERY morning before her breakfast! This is an excellent product and truly helped Cookie with her digestive issues. We've tried other probiotic chews at 3x the price - but these are just as good (if not better) and very reasonably priced by comparison! YAY!

I give these daily to two Frenchies who are picky eaters. They seem to keep their systems in check when they don't want to eat.

Good for digestive health
Have used this product for 2 years. Never any digestive issues.
However, Entirely Pets autoship system is not up to par. Be careful when you set this up with them.

You are what you eat
Great product. I live in the country and the dogs pick up and eat everything that falls to the ground. Visiting mice, rabbits, deer, foxes, coyotes leave their deposits. This product has saved my life, and my carpet shampooer.

More on this product
I recommend this product for my pets and yours as well.
Ps - my girls do not have any warts at all. They have been on this product since they could eat
Probiotics clean the inside and improve internal health and immunity all of which if compromised can lead to those Nasty little bumps we all call warts on dogs .
My previous pets had them and they did reduce with the probiotic but never fully went always, so far, Bambam (9yrs) Tiara (3yrs) and Desiree (6mths) are wart free. I realized Desiree is a little young for these, but I am comfortable knowing she will never have this ugly virus or benign tumours as vets refer to

My big girls love this - doggy candy
I give this to my big girls after breakfast along with their vitamin - morning staple. My little girls have always been a little finicky and would not eat unless I crumbled it in their food.
Probiotics are proven to assist with health, immunity and mainly internal intestinal flora.
Although I have never seen their insides, the girls have never been sick.
I would recommend this probiotic - 10 stars

Absolutely work!
I have 5 dogs and one Pit Bull has terrible gas - she's also my vomiting dog. At 70 pounds I give her two of these about 1/2 hour after her dinner and it has curbed her gas issues quite a bit. We are thankful for that! She loves these things and eats them as if they were treats. My other dog was on chemo and my vet recommended the powder form for his diarrhea and that also worked liked a champ! Great product and I give it regularly to my dogs.

Great Replacement Recommended
We had been using a probiotic chew that worked very well for our 13 yr old Black and Tan Spaniel with pancreas problems. It was no longer available but Morgan B at Entirely Pets researched and found Proflora with the same ingredients and it is working just as well. We feel Morgan B and Proflora are both great!

Great product
I have 3 dogs and 2 of the three love their probiotic. They get it every morning after breakfast.

I think the probiotic is either too large or just not to the liking of my little Bambam. She is 9 lbs and eating the soft chew is more than she can handle.
I was crushing/crumbling it into her food but somehow she knew it was there and ate around it.
Just not for her.

My two large standard poodles would eat the package if they could

I am rating this 5 stars cause Bam has always been a spoiled little princess and the product is exceptional.

Didn't sit well with one of my dogs
I've been using the Vetri-Science Everyday Probiotics for years now, with no problems. After those became unavailable, EntirelyPets recommended that I try Proflora. Immediately after starting these, one of my dogs began to have runny stools. I stopped the Proflora, and the runny stools stopped. There are excellent reviews on here about this product, so it could just be that my pup is sensitive to these for whatever reason. Just something to watch for when starting your pups on these...

excellent replacement for discontinued product
With an aged dog, doing well on Vetri-Probitic Soft Chews, we were frustrated to find it no longer available. Morgan Bradbury, in customer service, did some research and found Proflora Probiotic Soft Chews to be an excellent replacement for it...ingredients, effectiveness, flavor....our dog has accepted it well and is doing just fine. Thanks to Morgan and Entirely Pets for the help.

Seems to work well
I have two large dogs on medication that can upset their stomachs. One dog ended up with severe diarrhea. The vet switched his meds to one he tolerates better. Since giving them these probiotic chews, I haven't seen any signs of diarrhea or other tummy upsets. They both gobble the chews down; one of them even seeks me out so that I don't forget to give it to him! I gave it 4 stars only because of its cost. One package only lasts me 15 days because my dogs require 4 chews a day.

Proflora Review
These arrived quickly and my dog likes them very much. She thinks they are a treat, so that makes it easy. I tried the powdered version of this, but since my dog eats dry dog food, it didn't work as well as these chews.

Probiotic Chews
Would recommend probiotics to humans and for their pets, so this product makes it easy for pets to take. Probiotics improve immune health as well as good for digestion. I purchased this for my son's dog, who was having a few digestive issues.

Good Stuff
Works as well or better than forti-floria, cheaper and easier for me to deal with in a multi-dog family. they think it is a treat. Works better than sprinkling on food since they try to steal each other's food. Plan to keep using

Great value for product
My dogs love the taste and have no problem chewing theirs right up. Some of the "gas" issues with my Pit Bull have cleared up and the soft stool has changed as well with the other dog. I think this product has a better price tag than other alternative choices. I will be purchasing them again.

I have a mixed 9 year old shih tzu and she's much smaller than the average shih tzu. She is no more than 7 pounds. Do I cut the chews into quarters? What is the recommendation to give these to her?

The recomendations on the bag says under 30 lbs give 1 chew a day. My dogs have had these since they were puppies. Im sure you could start with 1/2. I have never had any trouble or side effects. My dogs love them.

I have been using Proflora for a number of years now on my 11 yr. old female shepherd and up until his death, on a very large G. shepherd male.  Both did and Ursa the female still does do well on getting 2 chews a day.  I would at least give Proflora a try and see how your pooch does with it.  I would start with 1/2 chew 2X a day, give that at least a week and see what comes of it.  The good thing about the Proflora is an "overdose" will not, as far as I know (and I have thought about this a bit) be any problem.  Our canines are short on adequate gut "critters" as most all are fed canned or kibble or cooked foods and as such, there just are not active gut flora critters in such foods.  We humans are short on these extremely important microbes in our gut do to all sorts of issues (I take a gut flora "fertilizer" if you will, as we humans are usually short of a good blend of microbes in our gut and we suffer from it as well).  I hope this helps.  I will say once again, give it a try.........

How do the "live" bacteria live when they are in a dried form...doesn't that kill them so that they are not effective? Most live bacteria needs to be refrigerated I believe. Confused by this! Any ideas?
1 Answer
Many probiotic bacteria are naturally sensitive to heat and moisture. Heat can kill organisms and moisture can activate them within pills, only to die due to lack of nutrients and a proper environment. These products should ideally be refrigerated and kept out of humidity. However, probiotics with freeze-dried organisms (which includes most sold as supplements in tablet or capsule form) and in packaging to prevent moisture, such as blister packs, generally do not need refrigeration or to be kept out of humidity but should still not be exposed to heat above room temperature. They also have longer shelf-lives than products containing live cultures, such as yogurts and drinks (which must be refrigerated). Probiotic yeast and some of the spore-forming bacteria, such as Bacillus coagulans, generally do not require refrigeration. My dog is weighing 11lbs. 1/4 Chew? 1 Chew?
1 Answer
1 chew is fine for any dog under 40 lbs, so our 11 lb dog should be fine with one and it does not need to be split into multiple pieces.

My 5 year old toy fox terrier recently was prescribed pro-pectalin tablets from the vet to help with her digestive systemas she would get a frequent gurgling noise from her stomach and not eat for the day. She never had an issue with diarrhea and is always active though not eating. The pills do seem to help. I am wondering if this proflora does the same thing as pro-pectalin as I like the idea that it looks more like a treat.
1 Answer
Yes- like Pro-Pectalin, Proflora combines the probiotic bacteria with a prebiotic fiber to improve the quality of the microflora in your pet's gastrointestinal tract; however, Proflora actually includes more probiotics than Pro-Pectalin and is available as a delicious soft chew for your dog!
